Roman & Monica are a dream team. Pushing each other to be there best and encouraging one another to reach higher. I was so excited to shoot their wedding as we had an interesting back story to how we met.
I was photographing a stunning styled shoot with some amazing vendors at The Gate House in Niagara-On-The-Lake this summer when these two walked in for their final walk through before the wedding. Erin, the host/coordinator, showed them through our shoot and Monica and I instantly clicked! Chatting about her wedding day and what her dreams were made me even more excited to potentially be a part of their day. This is when its super exciting and important to have some business cards guys...yah never know! It wasn't even a week later when they had reached out and we got to planning together. Next up was the engagement session. Roman took a little to break in but he got to it and (hopefully) enjoyed it. They are a stunning couple and what I would classify as a power couple. We toured through Niagara-On-The-Lake for our shoot ending it off with a great glass of wine together at The Gate House.
Now fast forward to the wedding day. The sun was shining, the hair and makeup was flawlessly applied, the suits were pressed and buttoned. It was a morning to remember. She got ready at the cutest little air b&b that had so many natural estetics to it. Although the windows were smaller the kiss of sunlight was perfect. Her mom helped her slip into her gown and hook the last button up. And just like that ready for some first looks. First her dad and then off to her Groom.
Now. Check out this car. I mean theres so many beautiful ways to travel through out your wedding day but come onnnnnn...
Doesn't this just make your want to touch it. Even the Best Man was pumped about touring. Of course this beauty had to be documented with some beautiful bridal portraits and then couple portraits were clearly going to have to follow suit. I love love love when couples have unique details to their wedding days. It makes it special but also gives us photographers a punch of excitement and get into some fun images.
Her smile was radiant. All day long. She was full of laughter and happiness that just poured through her portraits.

First looks. Do you want one. Do you want to save it for the moment you walk down the isle? These two had he sweetest first look over in a private little nook beside the river. Let me tell you, Romans suit belongs in a magazine. Customized right down to the very shoes he wore.
We found this little spot snuggled in between a marina and a private retirement building back on their engagement shoot day, and knew it was perfect for our first look. It had the sweetest manicured grounds and a gazebo to dance under. Private and tucked away to really soak up the moment. When in Niagara-On-The-Lake you have to get a famous shot infront of the town square clock, in the middle of the road, in traffic and of course in your wedding attire.
Raluca, from Lula King Photo + Film, and I fell in love with this home across the road from the original location and just knew we needed to get some portraits in front of the grounds. Yeah, it was that cute!
Roman, thank you for putting up with my crazy ideas and sticking it out while we spent countless time filling your gallery of beautiful portraits. Monica, thanks for being you, genuinly a beautiful soul! Thank you two forever for having us be a part of your memory!
Outdoor cermonies have to be my fav. type ceremony. All that beautiful natural light, the scenery and atmosphere created. This location is a gem and once decorated its even more beautiful. The rows of perfect chairs and archway to stand before filled with florals. A minister that was full of jokes and harmoney. Yep, I'd say they made a day full of perfect choices.
Monicas brother set up the live stream so that not just the guests here could see but guests far and wide would be able to witness the love these two have.
A sneak peek into the space Roman & Monica created for the reception experience. Liquid Entertainment had this venue rocking out all night! From old school play lists to new hit lists, it made a dance floor for everyone. Set up for taking some oh so fun selfies, because who doesn't take a wedding selfie, and the cake of the year. This cake was beyond wow, it looked to good to cut and it belongs in a museum!
Cheers to so many years of excitement, happiness, love and prosperity. So excited to see what the future has in store for you two. Dreams do come true.
